Hurt Clothing visited Tito Ortiz at his book signing in Chicago. We caught up with the former UFC Champion and talked about the rumors of him joining Donald Trump and the Affliction Promotion. Tito Ortiz became friends with The Donald when Tito was a contestant on The Apprentice. MMA Fighter KO's Opponent 120 lbs heavier with a MMA first
It seems that the days of unlimited weight classes and fighting multiple opponents on the same night are not gone. This was common place years ago when Mix Martial Arts (MMA) made its debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Fighters could fight up to 3 times a night on the same card in a tournament style format. And there were no weight classes. This means that a 170lbs fighter could fight someone 50 or 100 pounds more than them in a fight.
On May 10 2008, somewhere in the middle of Illinois, such a fight went down. And with some interesting results.
Tom Gavrilos, Hurt Clothing Advisor(www.hurtclothing.com), owner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gear (www.reproots.com) and part time professional MMA fighter, from Tempe Arizona, was thrust into a situation that seemed almost surreal at the time. He had just fought (and won) his welterweight match (170lbs) against Jason Bradford via arm triangle choke just 1min 15 sec into the first round. He was leaving the cage and getting ready to pack it in for the night when the promoter announced over the PA system that there was one more super fight left for the evening. That is when he heard his name called over the loud speaker.
Gavrilos, known for being 'game' for anything crazy, was up to the task that night .However, he didn't realize that his opponent would be the 'Raging Redneck', all six foot five, 290 pounds of him! As the two faced off in the cage, Gavrilos looked up at his beastly opponent.
Tom was cornered by Wes Simms (UFC and MMA fighter) and fighting under the Submissions 101 (www.submissions101.com) fight team.
What happened next was a first in mixed martial arts. Recently, there have been two double knock outs in matches, but there has never been a 6 second knock out via DDT in a match. And certainly not against opponents who weighed 120 pounds apart. But this was the case that night.
The "Raging Red Neck" rushed Tom and slammed him against the cage. It looked like a bear playing with a small child. Then Tom grabbed the Raging Redneck around the head and dropped to the mat. In one swift move, Tom's opponent was knock out instantly via a DDT (a professional wrestling move), only 6 seconds into the match. He remained unconscious for over one minute as trainers and paramedics attended to him.
The Raging Redneck finally came to and got up where he and Tom showed a great amount of respect for one another with the familiar fighters hug inside the cage. The Raging Redneck left the cage under his own power and Tom looks forward to the future and his next adventure in the cage.
UFC/IFL Hurt Fighter Gideon Ray: Delivers A Massive Elbow For The TKO Win at Warriors Collide

Live MMA in Colorado featured the best fighters at Warriors Collide 3. Coming off a decision loss to Nabil Khatib in HCF Crow's Nest, Gideon made sure this was not left up to the judges. Delivering a barrage of Muy Thai Kicks and Elbows, Gideon with full mount delivered the HURT on Bryan Craven to the point where he could not continue. Congratulations to Gideon Ray on his victory.
Hurt Clothing has brought Gideon Ray on the Fight team earlier this year. Gideon will be a key MMA fighter that will bring inspiration for upcoming fighters and to MMA fans alike. Hurt Clothing supports Gideon Ray on is rise to the top.

Jason Graves is on a tear. When he enters the ring, you definitely know that when it comes to fighting, he's "Making It HURT" for any opponent that tries to stand in his way. It was another great night of MMA fights by Fight Card Entertainment as they invade Joe's Sports Bar in Chicago. The MMA event named "No Way Out" definitely describes Jason's opponent as he laid there limp from a strong Guillotine Choke. Watch Jason Live in the video above!

Thanks again to Fox and Hound Schaumburg for allowing Fighter for Life and Hurt Clothing to raise money for the Fighter for Life Cancer Charity. The Fox and Hound Staff and Patrons represented their love for MMA and UFC by packing the house and sharing good entertainment with great friends.
It was an amazing night as BJ Penn demonstrated why he is the Undisputed Champion as he defeats Sean Sherk in 3 rounds to retain the Title. Vanderlei with his signature single hand neck choke as he knocked out Jardine. And Ortiz eating a nasty knee to the gut and failing to close his triangle on Machida leaves the UFC with another lost.
Even though we've done the UFC PPV at Fox and Hound 6 times straight, the patrons and staff continue to support Hurt Clothing and Fighter for Life by consistently raising money to benefit Cancer patients and Cancer research. Chicago native David Diaz will be fighting Manny Pacquiao for the Championship belt. Three of the best signed the Signature Hurt Tshirt, Manny Pacquiao, David Diaz, and Freddie Roach. This shirt will be raffled out to Hurt Clothing Fan prior to June 28th Championship fight.
"Dangerous" David Díaz (born June 7, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, United States) is a professional boxer in the lightweight (135 lb) division. His record is 34-1-1 (17 KOs). He is the current WBC lightweight champion.
He defeated José Armando Santa Cruz for the interim title on August 12, 2006. On February 20, 2007, Diaz was awarded the title when Joel Casamayor, the champion at the time, failed to make the weight limit in a match against Diego Corrales and was eventually stripped. He defeated Mexican legend Erik Morales on August 4, 2007 by a unanimous decision to defend his title.
David Diaz (34-1-1, 17 KO) stated that his June 28, 2008 showdown with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas is "is the biggest fight of my life. Bigger than when I won the title. Even bigger than beating a legend like Morales."

Hurt Clothing and Hot Import Nights had a spectacular night at the McCormick Place in Chicago. The MMA community lives in all types and walks of life. Even the Autosport, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Music Culture of Hot Import Nights! TapouT wearing guys bought stuff. BJJ students bought stuff. We even met a lot of MMA instructurs who were gear heads! And to top it all off, all the beautiful models and women were MMA fans! Amongst their favorites were Chuck Liddell and Rampage Jackson. We planned on unveiling the new shirts at Hot Import Nights, but our fans put the pressure on us to give them first dibs. We love our customers so we had to submit.
Triangle Choke and the Kimura Lock have been very popular winning MMA moves lately. Our Hurt Community along with MMA Fighters and UFC Fans have sent in their emails to convince us that this is what they want next. Second in the running are stand up moves as well as striking moves which will be coming out soon. Thru many design prototypes, we've settled on a design that will live up to the legendary moves but keep within the "Winning Moves" theme unique to Hurt Clothing. All Hurt Customers will recieve first viewing of the shirts and will be given an opportunity to purchase the new shirts at 40% off. After the private unveiling, the new shirts will be sold to the public and will be available on HurtClothing.com.
Hurt Clothing has been working hard to recruit the baddest designers and artists to create a Hurt Branded specific line that represents the various extreme sports we all know and love. We finally locked them up. Look for the new shirts coming out soon!
Hurt Clothing Experiences Record Traffic in April

Hurt Clothing experienced record traffic in the month of April. The site set new records for page views, visits, and unique visitors, which were up 40%, 44%, and 25% respectively from last month.
On average, we have over 1,600 visitors every day. We are constantly working to get new clothing and content updated on the site. Sit tight as we put all of this together.
Hurt Clothing will be supporting the WEC in promoting WEC events and helping bring WEC to MMA fans in the Midwest. Look out for specials and news in regards to the WEC. Hurt Clothing has NO direct affiliation to the WEC.
Hurt Clothing is the only clothing line truly devoted to representing the Sport of MMA.

WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz defends his title against WBC Super Featherweight Champion Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, June 28. Pacquiao will come up in weight to challenge for the Lightweight title.
Diaz (34-1-1, 17 KOs), from Chicago, will be making the second defense of his title. He successfully defended it against the three-division world champion Morales last summer winning a hard-fought unanimous decision over the future Hall of Famer.
Dubbed "Republica Enemy No. 1," Pacquiao (46-3-2, 34 KOs), from General Santos City, Philippines, has blitzed through the best fighters Mexico has had to offer since 2003 including Erik Morales (KO 3, TKO 10), Marco Antonio Barrera (TKO 11, W 12), Juan Manuel Marquez (W 12, D 12), Oscar Larios (W 12), Emanuel Lucero (TKO 3), Hector Velazquez (TKO 6) and Jorge Solis (KO 8).

He's the ultimate showman in the world's greatest spectator sport -- a controversial, charismatic figure who has dominated Ultimate Fighting for more than ten years as one of its most exciting and skillful stars.
But for Tito Ortiz, life very nearly took a different path. Hurt Clothing caught up with the devestating Whitney Harchanko in her ArmBar shirt. Trust us, we were not offended as she tore the ArmBar shirt up to her liking. When's the girl line coming out? She asked. We were speechless as she started posing in her new version of the ArmBar shirt. Whitney Harchanko loves to kickbox, spar, and be involved in martial arts. She has a 2nd degree black belt in Karate. She also loves to wake board, roller blade, play tennis, hockey and lift weights. You can find her in the June and August issues of FHM, 20 Hot Dates and Miss FHM contest (respectively) and online at FHMUS.com for the Miss FHM Tournament of Beauties Contest. She is also in several local calendars for radio stations and on the cover of the Hot Zone Calendar, and Madpoison! You can also watch her on the newest reality TV series for MTV and MTV2, called the Final Fu. The series is a martial arts based reality show that is a competition between 30 martial artists, all black belts or higher in their own respective art, over 8 different arts are represented. Whitney qualified for the show because of her 2nd degree black belt in American Karate. She has been attending the National Karate School Chain in Minnesota for 11 years and attended and competed in many local and national tournaments for both fighting and kata competitions. A recent injury to her rib cage has halted her competing but she plans on training for the Diamond Nationals in Minneapolis this and every October.
